Labour Relations Training Program Capilano College – UPN Joint Certificate

In conjunction with the Labour Studies Department of Capilano College and the Nurses’ Bargaining Association,UPN is offering an intensive, 13-week training in Labour Relations.

This recognized certificate program will provide participants with extensive training in the technical and interpersonal skills essential to a successful practice of labour relations.

So far, the program is planned to run twice: September 17 to December 14, 2007, and January 14 to April 11, 2008. Twenty participants from the Nurses’ Bargaining Association will form the cohort (class) for each semester. Of those twenty, UPN will be assigned two to three seats for their membership.

Mental Health and Developmental Disability

Free Training

The Ministry of Children and Family Development, Child Youth and Mental Health is offering a two-day training on Mental Health and Developmental Disability at no cost to psychiatrists, physicians and nurses.

Who should attend:

This two-day training is designed for mental health professionals, psychiatrists, pediatricians, family practitioners, and professionals in the field working with children and youth with co-occurring developmental disabilities and mental health needs.
